Enhancing Security for IDIKA S.A.

IDIKA S.A. partnered with OTE to implement Managed Defender and SOC Monitoring for uninterrupted protection of critical public health infrastructure.

Challenge

IDIKA S.A. operates digital infrastructure across Greece that supports hospitals and millions of citizens. Faced with ever more sophisticated and prevalent cyber threats, IDIKA recognized the importance of securing its cloud ecosystem across Azure, EntraID, and Microsoft 365. Given its vital role in managing the country’s public health services, the organization was intent on improving threat visibility, automating incident response, and ensuring continuous compliance with security standards. In short, IDIKA needed a partner who could deliver a fast, reliable, and scalable security solution.

Solution

OTE rose to the challenge with a fully managed security service designed specifically for IDIKA’s Azure environment. Within just six months, the team enabled all Defender for Cloud plans and integrated Microsoft Copilot AI for Security, improving both threat detection and automation. All cloud log sources were integrated into Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, providing comprehensive visibility and allowing IDIKA to monitor everything from a single location. OTE also used custom-developed Azure DevOps pipelines to automate the onboarding and deployment processes, which helped accelerate implementation.

Benefits

  • 24/7 SOC monitoring ensuring enhanced threat detection and rapid incident response
  • Automated remediation workflows and continuous compliance with evolving regulatory requirements
  • Reduced risk exposure thanks to automated playbooks and security best practices
  • Full visibility into vulnerabilities and suspicious activities with real-time alerts
